OK, this is how you battle. Get a judge: Gloric, Two fighters: Serj, Pjdaughtry, battlefield: Plains. Judge confirms everything, and flips a coin to see how goes first-Serj. Ready....FIGHT! Serj-The stealth viper moves into medium and fires his AZ30mm Vulcan Cannon, and waits for the reaction of his opponant. Pjdaughtry-The liger 25 stays in the long range position and fires one of its Mega shot cannons and waits. Judge-Serj 22000 damage, Pjdaughtry 10200 damage. That is pretty much it. All you have to do is be in range for your weapon to hit. You can only advance or devance in range once per turn. Also, you can't go from short to long or long to short. You have to go to medium first before you can advance between these two ranges. Remember you must take into account your opponants weapons and upgrades, before the fight. The judge will keep track of damage taken in the fight. The judge will also say when the battle is over.
